Dear
Readers:
A Smoke Is No Joke is best used to help steer young
children away from ever wanting to smoke cigarettes or
use vaping products. I wrote this book because my son
as a child asked me to please stop smoking. "I'll
think about it" was always my answer. One day he
placed a carefully written note in my hand that read "Think
about it" before quietly walking away. I held onto
that note, repeatedly trying to quit. With determination,
time, and a mother's desire to never forget, I did think
about it and did thankfully finally quit.
While reading this book, please consider substituting
vaping and other harmful drug or substance use behavior
you may wish to guard your own children against in the
future.
My hope is that when young children know what to do and
what to say before they must choose on their own, they
will have the confidence to choose healthy options for
themselves.
I wish you health and happiness always,
Michelle
